- The Hole In the Ground, that
Irish horror movie with the great-looking previews, critical
praise, and good reviews will be available on DVD April 30th.
Available now on streaming services like YouTube movies, and
Amazon, it pretty much skipped U.S. theatrical showing - but it
looks like one worth checking out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxY2vnJiByw
- Valancourt Books has announced
a new limited series of five long-unavailable paperback horror gems
from the '70s and '80s. All five titles will be available for a
limited time in a special mass-market size format, and in some
cases will feature their original glorious paperback cover art. The
first will be The Nest by Gregory A. Douglas - a tale of mutant,
human-eating cockroaches - available April 2nd and following with
another title each month. Hopefully they will be able to continue
with even more titles in the future. Forbes has an interesting
article, talking about the challenge they had of reviving older
titles that are out of print. They aren’t public domain, yet the
authors might be unreachable, deceased, or even non-existent
because they were written under a pseudonym.http://www.valancourtbooks.com/paperbacksfromhell.html
